I use Chameleon exclusively with a mouse to add some extra screen based controls to a Digital Audio Workstation (Cakewalk DAW).
Sometimes when I am operating the DAW GUI I need to press the Esc key to escape from a DAW menu or action. Quite often this causes the Chameleon Editor to pop up even if I am nowhere close to the 'active' area of the Chameleon template.
I've attached a screenshot showing where the Chameleon 'overlay' is placed on the right hand side of the screen.
Is there anyway to stop this accidental popping up of the Chameleon screen from happening?
And is there anyway to configure Chameleon so it defaults to Mouse use only? For me it is not a 'Test' mode.
I think that ecape key, can be and should be configured as default on Chameleon, but add option to change to another key or combination of keys.
In that way the key asigned to chameleon can be any not used on your software or combination not used.
What you think?

I think that's a great idea! Do you think it could be done as part of the next scheduled update?

Hello again
Just checking to ask if the option to change the default ESC key to another key or keys will appear in the next release? I have a lot of problems with the Chameleon Editor popping up when I use the ESC key in my main Cakewalk application.
Thanks

Looking forward to the new release.
What alternatives to the ESC key will be possible to access the Chameleon Editor?
As usual, you can use right mouse click to access if disable the escape key.
Anyway duet how all the new touch engine work on upcoming version 1.5 of chameleon, maybe you never ever need disable the escape when perform with chameleon duet the new engine not create any kind of interference on keyboard when you touch chameleon with your fingers.
I add this feature just in case somebody need and just in case somebody want back to the older touch engine.
