Hi !
Hope everyboy's doing well !
I was thinking about a precision enhancement. If we turn slowly the Surface Dial, we get a slow and precise turn and if we turn it fast, we get a less precise movement but a quicker move for large change of values. It would be like a universal precision option, like the universal mode for knobs/vert. faders/horiz. faders.
Best,
Lucien
Hi Lucien, that only can be possible in encoder mode.
Usually all DAWs support a precision mode, with some custom hotkey and some VSTs support the same, usually is with key shift.
That mode can be used with combination of mouse xtrabuttons, and is named ultra.
When is enabled you have higher precision, when is disable you have normal precision.>
Depend of the DAW and VST you use.
What is your DAW?
In mouse mode there is no way to do a universal high precision mode.
Anyway tell me more about your setup, the software you use, etc.

Hi !
Thanks for your quick answer !!
I'm gonna try the ultra mode !
I use Pro Tolos 2020.5 and Ableton 10 (forgot the version)
I'm on Windows 10 V1903, i7-6700HQ CPU, 2.6 GHZ, 8GO RAM
In protools, I think the key is command not shift.
If yes, then i need add a change in elephant to make compatible with protools.
Under Ableton is shift, so that feature work ok with ableton.
