Hi everyone,
is there a way to keep the dial from standby mode? Every time it´s not used after a couple of minutes it goes to sleep and took
couple of seconds (to long in my opinion) to wake up.
I did some research about this behaviour and theres no option to turn this mode off. (Maybe a firmware update could help but there is none)
My question is, can this be implemented into Elephant? Any script in the background that keeps the dial "busy". A command every 2 Minutes
that causes nothing..;)
Is this possible?
At this moment, there is no way to change the 10 minutes sleep mode.
After 10 minutes, the dial do a equivalent to shutdown his internal OS and when wake up have to boot from 0.
They do for save battery, but i think what they do is really extreme and wrong, time can be the double and battery life will be extremely higher.
One of my dial is on extreme hard usage, and batter indicate 58% after near to one year!
I prefer more longer time before sleep, and change battery every 6 months than this short time and batter life over one year.
I think is to short, I try contact directly to MS, for check if their plan update the firmware..........or no.

Hey dude! Thank you for making it possible for us to use the Dial in our DAWs! Real life saver!
Do you have any news on the possibility of keeping it "awake" while Elephant is on?
I guess some ping to the dial every now and then just before the inactivity timer goes off?
Is it possible? The sleep thing is very annoying, and happens way too often!
Thank you!
Hello Henrique
Only Microsoft can increase the sleep time of the device........or the company builds this for Microsoft, I don't think they build the Dial.
I suggest contact to MS support.
