Just got the surface dial and elephant software. The tap to control object on my touch screen worked fine in Bitwig studio 3. Then I started assigning hotkeys and it worked fine but the tap control function stopped working. I have deleted all hotkeys but the tap control function still do not work. I have restarted the program and the computer but it does not help.

Hello, sorry but no idea what is tap control function in your touchscreen, please provide more detailed info.

What I mean is that I can tap the controller knob on the touch screen with my finger and then control that knob with the surface dial. The strange thing is that it can work for a short while with some plugins but then it stops working. Also the hover function with the mouse can also stop working after a while. The same thing happens in both Bitwig 3 and Cubase 10, also with stock plugins.

I check if can reproduce the problem.
What is the bitwig version you use? Also please inform what is your touch device.
Try enabling "Touchpad/Trackball" in the config panel.

I use Bitwig 3.03 and the touch device is the Acer T272HUL. i have noticed that when the mouse pointer mover to the place I touch then it works but sometimes the mouse pointer does not move to the point I touch. Also, sometimes the surface dial does not work even if I hover the mouse pointer over the knob I want to control not using the touch function.

Also, I have enabled the Touchpad/Trackball in the config panel.

Hi again, I test bitwig and you are right, not work how should be or some users report can be used, and that is related to something with bitwig and how handle the touch the software.
Option 1, I can apply for instant refund., just confirm.
Option 2, you can wait with no any warranty for see if this can be fixed, I can take a look on this some moment of January.
I already edit the documentation about "thing way of use with touchscreen" as experimental, is a feature under the zone of "test as your risk" than something I really planned when I created the tool. The purpose of Elephant is act as a companion of mouse.
Please confirm how you want proceed.

Now, the next step is test only with mouse, without tap with touch screen, for that restart your machine and wont use the touch screen and Chameleon combined. Please report with all possible detail if some thing work wrong,provide a step by step guide to reproduce the problem.
