Hi everyone ! Smile

Hope that everyone's fine after this COVID crisis !

I have a big issue, I was wondering if anyone had the same trouble I have. I was really interested in the nOb controller and discovered the Surface Dial and the Elephant software so I bought a Surface Dial with a usb key for getting Bluetooth for my computer which wasn't equipped with Bluetooth.

So I have :

- Windows 10, always updated

- Surface Dial

- USB dongle for Bluetooth 4.0 i.t.works BT150 with the driver CSR Harmony

- Elephant

But every time I install the driver and Elephant, it works one day or two, but after two or three computer restarts, I get a BLACK SCREEN WITHOUT CURSOR issue. I did it twice and always had to do a system recovery to get my setup before I installed the driver and Elephant.

Did anyone had this issue ? If that's the case, could anyone help me with this issue ?...

Thanks in advance and take care ! Smile

Hi Lucien.
No any one have that issue........strange issue, and you yes are the first.
The elephant  not have any relation with any BT driver.
Elephant not interact with any driver.  Focus in solve your driver issue, I suggest use the dial for few days alone, without elephant, I stay 99% ensure the trouble be repeated and not is related to elephant.

You have to focus on the driver issue.
Also please read the manual of elephant and use how is indicated following every detail in the instructions, specially the initialization of software every time you start use.

Ensure your user is admin,  if elephant is setup to auto-start, disable that and try again, is something is related, that can be probably the origin of the problem, some conflict when software start when machine boot.

Hi ! Smile

Thank you very much for your feedback, I ran a chkdsk /r /f and a scannow, uninstalled many drivers and disabled the quick boot option in the register (I didn't had the option displayed in my config). I found out I had TPM error 27 and Kernel Power 41 63 error.. Don't know where those came from. I also discovered when I uninstalled my bluetooth driver, that I was still able to control my surface dial (wtf??) and actually, there is bluetooth on my computer, never saw it in my peripherals list, never ! Right now, it seems to work and I'm gonna disable the auto-start, that could be a great idea ! But where can I see if it's in auto-start mode ? I can't see Elephant in the Startup section in the Task Manager.

Again, thank you very much and have a great day !!

Best,

Lucien Smile
