Hello - just a quick one, when I start the elephant software something funny happens in Windows and I lose some hidden/quick access icons from the task bar, it like the explorer.exe process restarts which is strange.
Also, more an idea for a new feature, haptic feedback, I notice we don't get any with elephant running, is it possible to implement?
The icons not should disappear in permanent way, just for a few seconds, same for the task bar, this happen when Elephant gain control of the Dial, no is a tech issue.
Anyway I suggest setup run on startup so Elephant is there ready when you start your computer.
Haptic feeback is available on Elephant when sensitivity is not higher, example:
When you use the Dial to send MIDI or send hotkeys, and sensitivity is setup to lower values (actions per rotation/degrees), or when you setup sensitivity of the Dial form Elephant menu, haptic feedback is there.
Enable haptic feedback when the dial is commanding actions per 1 degree of rotation or less (higher sensitivity), just result as a bee buzzing in your hands and not have any kind of sense, is noisy, drain the battery, is uncomfortable etc. Microsoft itself also suggest not do that and I agree with they.
From MS dev notes:
Tools with continuous or high rotational sensitivity should disable haptic feedback
Haptic feedback matches the rotational sensitivity of the active tool. We recommend disabling haptic feedback for tools with continuous or high rotational sensitivity as the user experience can get uncomfortable.

Yep I've set elephant to run on start but still get the issue with icons disappearing. I'll try reinstalling. Other than that it's great work 🙂
Ok, if the issue with icons continue and not find the way to solve, we can setup a remote session support, for take a look what happen.
I don't think reinstall Elephant solve the problem.
All indicate is isolated issue, probably can be easy solved.

Still having the issue, just no time to deal with it as yet. Can you provide anything solutions that don't require a remote session?
I can't provide a solution for a trouble I cant reproduce and nobody report before, you are the first one and the only one user with this issue (over 253 happy users wont report a issue like this). Remote access is trough Team Viewer, is safe, and you should stay there in front of the computer.
