Hello Patrick.
0 is equal to no friction, start increment form 0  to 10 and you can see how works.
Float values are allowed, example 2.5

Hello ,
I tried several values for this parameter and I did not see any change in the behavior of the slider.

The slider support inertia is really non useful i just add that as experimental thing lot of years ago.
On encoders is  useful specially when use encoders for search on a list of items, where the spinning after touch is useful.
I tested the latest version and work ok,
Can explain in detailed way what you try to do?
